About
Four Corners

Four Corners Global Consulting Group is a women- and LGBTQ-owned small business, formed in 2019 by a group of colleagues who share the fundamental belief that we can change the world by giving the people and organizations dedicated to fighting for social justice the tools they need to maximize their impact. Our name, “Four Corners,” symbolizes both our global reach as well as our commitment to advancing change locally.

Our team is small but mighty. We’re a spirited bunch of dreamers and doers who have worked across the United States, Sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Latin America. Leading with agility, empathy, curiosity, and strategic vision, we are relentless in advancing the causes and initiatives you’re championing. At Four Corners, we pair sharp technical skills with a joyful, collaborative spirit. We enjoy co-creating with partners and ensuring that our work feels energizing, valuable, and genuinely fun.

Daniel Weyl

Daniel Weyl is Co-Founder and Principal at Four Corners Global Consulting Group. His areas of expertise include measurement and evaluation, strategic planning, project design and program development, and communications.

For over 15 years, Daniel has worked across the philanthropic, public, and non-profit sectors, designing, managing, and evaluating human rights, humanitarian, and social impact programs.  At Four Corners, Daniel works with clients to evaluate and maximize the outcomes of grant-funded initiatives and program portfolios; promote organizational sustainability and success through strategic planning and change management; and elevate practices that advance inclusion and accessibility. Daniel enjoys working in close and authentic partnership with clients and finding creative ways to uplift the voices of those most impacted by programs, policies, and funding decisions. Daniel has supported clients working on diverse issues, from education and leadership development to refugee resettlement and gender justice. Daniel brings his love of theories of change, commitment to data equity, and ability to synthesize complex information to each client partnership, taking a relational approach that fosters trust and meaningful collaboration.

Prior to Four Corners, Daniel served as the inaugural Director of Grants Development and Compliance at Malcolm X College, where he established and formalized an institutional grants program, secured nearly $12 million in funding for new and existing initiatives to promote educational equity, facilitated college-wide training for staff and faculty, and led donor cultivation efforts. Previously, Daniel served as a Grants Officer at The Rotary Foundation, where he evaluated and strengthened foundation-funded projects in 17 countries across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, awarding over $21 million in funding. Daniel launched his career at Heartland Alliance International, where he coordinated the nation’s first resource center for LGBTQ refugees and went on to oversee and advance a $15 million grant portfolio composed of mental health, counter-trafficking, and gender-based violence prevention programs spanning the Middle East, Central Africa, and Latin America and the Caribbean.

Daniel earned his bachelor’s degree in cultural anthropology from Beloit College in Wisconsin, and a master’s degree in public policy and administration from Northwestern University. Daniel has served on several advisory councils and boards and is currently a proud board member of Jewish Council on Urban Affairs. When not at work, Daniel can be found chasing his toddler, hosting dinners with his husband, or taking a dance class.

Kelly Spence

Kelly Spence is Co-Founder and Principal of Four Corners Global Consulting Group. Kelly's work is rooted in a genuine love of partnership — she thrives on building deep, lasting relationships with clients and walking alongside them as they develop the clarity, tools, and confidence to think and work more strategically.

At Four Corners, Kelly guides nonprofits, philanthropies, and academic organizations through program evaluations, strategic planning and growth, and program design. She approaches every engagement as a long-term investment in her clients' success, designing virtual workshops and trainings in evaluation, program design, strategic planning, and data equity that build lasting internal capacity — not just one-time deliverables.

Kelly brings more than 20 years of experience leading international development and human rights programs with U.S.-based and international nonprofit organizations and academic institutions. Prior to founding Four Corners, Kelly served on the senior leadership team at Heartland Alliance International (HAI), where she drove the organization's rapid growth for nearly seven years. There, she demonstrated the same strategic focus and relationship-centered approach she brings to clients today: she built HAI's first-ever External Relations Department, doubled unrestricted fundraising revenues in a single fiscal year, and oversaw a 500% increase in unrestricted revenue over three years. She also built the Program Development department, leading a global team that submitted over 60 high-quality funding proposals annually to U.S., multilateral, bilateral, and foundation donors — and played an instrumental role in the creation and execution of HAI's five-year strategic plan.

Kelly has dedicated her career to human rights and social justice through roles spanning governance and democracy strengthening in West Africa, women and global development advocacy at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, HIV/AIDS research at Northwestern University's Program of African Studies, and Girls' Education and Empowerment as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Togo.

Kelly holds a B.A. in Chinese and Anthropology from Bates College and an M.S. in International Conflict Management from Georgetown University. She speaks fluent French and conversational Mandarin Chinese. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, and very energetic dog. She has a newfound love for half-marathons and is always looking forward to the next adventure.
